UCLA Football at Rosebowl
"It was a TERRIBLE experience for my family and I. Walking to the Rosebowl from our parking spot near hole 9 on the golf course literally took 30 MINUTES - $20 for parking! We were directed to drive on the golf course with cars, people and sand-traps all thrown together, no help from the very few parking attendants. Completely unsafe, we had no idea where to go and just pulled over under a tree - ridiculous! On the trek to the Rosebowl, we encountered MANY drunk people acting stupid as they tend to do. Lots of cursing, lots of smoking, lots of alcohol bottles everywhere - not a family atmosphere. Stadium - thank god booze is not sold inside, but again, MANY drunk fools all over the place cursing and smoking! Very tough to navigate through to our seats even though the game was in progress because of all the people clogging up the concourse. Seats - asked an attendant where our seats were (section 23L) and she directed us to the wrong spot (23a). Me: "you sure it's on the right?" Attendant looking at my ticket: "Positive." When someone else claimed their correct seats, we all left and I asked another attendant where our seats really were, she explained that it didn't matter if it was 23L or 23A - guess what, it does matter! There are different sections and these attendants had no clue what they were doing. Once we finally got to our correct seats, we were miserable because we were squished in between all the people crammed onto the bench seats (and we are avg sized people). View from the seats was good but VERY uncomfortable, I had to sit at an angle so my legs wouldn't be in the back of the guy in front of me. We ended up leaving early because of the discomfort. Then it was a 10 minute walk thru more drunks to our gate and another 30 min. back to the car. Because it was night and it was on a golf course, it was very hard to find our car. We could find no attendants for help and they had these giant lights angled directly at head/eye level so we were also blinded - arghhh! If you're 20-something & in college & don't mind drunks everywhere, & don't mind hiking to the stadium & getting ripped off for parking & can arrive 5 hours early, go for it... if not, stay home like I wish my family and I did."
